How does an air source heat pumps work?
Air source heat pumps work by extracting heat from the outside air similar to a fridge in reversal, which extracts heat from its inside. This heat can then be used to heat the home via radiators, underfloor heating systems and is available to provide hot water. Equally important is the fact that it is able to operate when outside temperatures drop as low as -20°C.
Can I use my solar panels to power a ground source or air source heat pump?

Yes, you can combine Solar PV with a heat pump to create an environmentally friendly way of meeting your heating and hot water requirements.

What are the benefits of battery storage?
The main benefit of having battery storage is that you have 24/7 backup protection. You can power your home even if it doesn’t have a connection to the National Grid. It will reduce your grid costs, you can store energy for future use and you can monitor your solar energy use.
What do energy diverters do?

An Energy Diverter is a programmable device that identifies excess electricity being generated and diverts it to other energy storage devices such as an electric immersion heater in your hot water tank.

How do I know which EV charger to choose?
Your choice of EV charger will be determined by your choice of vehicle and also the power supply to the buidling where the charging point is to be fitted. Our local engineers are available to give advice on the best charge point for your property and provide a high quality installation.
Why should I have LEDs instead of standard bulbs?

LEDs are a good idea because; you will save on your energy bills, they have no UV or heat emissions, they are energy efficient, they have a long lifespan and come in sleek designs.

Is a MVHR system noisy?

As long as the MVHR system is installed correctly, no, it will not be noisy.

Do I need different radiators when installing a heat pump?
Due to the lower flow temperatures from Heat Pumps when compared to conventional boilers you will need a different design of radiator with larger surface areas. We can advise on how to achieve this.
How does Solar PV work?

Solar panels will generate electricity facing in any direction but by preference they need to be facing somewhere between South West and South East. We can help you choose the best location.

Where possible, we aim to install panels so that they are south facing at angled at around 30 degrees. This position creates the best possible generation opportunity for your solar PV array.

What are the benefits of solar thermal?

Solar thermal generates hot water throughout the year: the system works all year round, though you’ll need to heat the water further with a boiler or immersion heater during the winter months.

Cut your bills: sunlight is free, so once you’ve paid for the initial installation your hot water costs will be reduced. Cut your carbon footprint: solar hot water is a green, renewable heating system and can reduce your carbon dioxide emissions.

Does my SolarVenti have warranty?
Yes! SolarVenti comes with 5 years warranty.
How does underfloor heating work?
Plastic pipes which are embedded within the floor, spread across the entire available space, transfers the heat from the water into the embedded surface. The heat is then distributed throughout the living area, evenly across the entire room.
